Privacy Policy

Effective October 31, 2026. This covers the Luckets iPhone app and luckets.app.

Luckets is a free game made by Dean Altidor. The app does not ask you to create an account, and it does not ask for your email, contacts, photos, or location.

What stays on your iPhone

Your progress is saved on the device: current level, best level, shovels, lifesavers, which buckets you picked, and whether Triple Buckets or Bonzai is active. Best level is not uploaded.

Username and the leaderboard

You pick a username of 3 to 16 letters, numbers, or underscores the first time you play. If you are signed into iCloud, the app publishes that username, your current level, and the time it was updated to Apple’s CloudKit public database so other players can see the board. The record id is a random id stored with your save, not your Apple ID. The board shows the level you are on now, so that number can go down.

If iCloud is unavailable, the level stays on the phone and the public board is not updated. Deleting the app removes the on-device save. A public leaderboard row can remain. To ask for that row to be removed, message @Deandawiz.

Ads

The game shows a banner ad from Google AdMob, a full-screen ad about every 10 drops, and a full-screen rewarded ad when you choose “watch an ad” to keep a level. Google may receive device and advertising data as described in Google’s privacy policy. If you allow tracking, Apple’s advertising identifier may be included. You can refuse that prompt and still play. A $4.99 purchase removes the banner and the full-screen ad between drops. The rewarded ad that keeps a level stays available.

Keep Level purchases

Keep Level is an optional $0.99 consumable sold by Apple. No Ads is an optional $4.99 purchase that removes the banner and the full-screen ad between drops. The app uses RevenueCat to confirm that Apple completed a purchase. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user id and purchase status. It does not receive your username. Luckets does not receive your card number. Apple’s handling of payment data is covered by Apple’s privacy policy.
